It is our mission to be the advocates of the vulnerable young people who often fall through the cracks of society by providing them with therapeutic care. We have been operating therapeutic focused care homes for over 14 years. Independence Development Ltd was founded in 2011 by Dr Olyedemi, our clinical director, who identified there was a lack of availability in specialised therapeutic care

We now provide tailored therapeutic residential care for a range of young people in Kent. Our care is delivered by a multidisciplinary team led by our Clinical Director, Dr Olyedemi who has an extensive background working with children, young people and adults.

At Independence Development Ltd, we provide a seamless pathway of care that nurtures the journey of our service users, starting from the age of 11 as they mature into independent adults. Our holistic approach ensures that every young people receives the tailored support they need at each stage of their development.

We have an inclusive admissions criteria and go above and beyond to ensure our young people are in an environment in which they can thrive and grow.

Our referral process is a simple process and has three stages. First stage is contacting us, the second stage involves a site visit and meeting with leadership team, and the third stage is the decision – both parties have the opportunity to decide.
